It took long enough.  It took lots of influences, some crazy turns and lots of work...but I'm here.  This is me.

It started with the greatest gift I ever received, a Craig AM/FM stereo cassette player, in 1970.  I carried it everywhere, I'd fall asleep at night 'in stereo' with a speaker in each ear, trying to understand the musical puzzle that intrigued me so much.  I'd dissect all the different instruments and vocal harmonies.  I needed an outlet.

First, it was an accordion, then a borrowed clarinet, then a saxophone, a guitar, a bass...always something that would make music.  And it just never stopped.

I actually quit college after one semester, tired of hitchhiking home to make music on a bandstand.  I was seventeen.  I then turned my attention to vocalists and songwriters.  I enjoyed the lyrical stories and how they were melodically told.

Music was my vehicle.  It steered me through my youth, across this country and others.  It's introduced me to so many wonderful, lifelong friends.  It's carried and protected me through the most difficult times.

Music. It's been there everyday of my life.  It's the oldest friend I have.
